I never race anyone in my 2017 Stingray. I had been told by another Corvette driver that I should never race anyone on a motorcycle because they will win every time. I was a little ticked off at a guy on a Harley Davidson because he had gone below the speed limit on a two lane road for miles in front of me. I was on the way to work and I pulled up beside him at a traffic light on a four-lane divided highway. He revved his engine and glanced at me. The light changed and I rowed through the gears and was a little shocked when I saw the tachometer soar up to 5,000. He sounded like thunder as we rode beside each other. When I got into fourth gear I started to pull away from him. By then, I was going over 70 in a 55 zone. I was looking for blue light but was fortunate. I felt bad about racing someone on a public road but the whole thing was over in 15 seconds.

V-ROD is a slug that only Harley owners think are fast.
I have to disagree. Put a few hundred miles on a V Rod last year. They accelerate quick. Definatley not a track bike LOL. This is coming from a sportbike owner.

The race is over before it starts. A V-ROD is no match for any liter sport bike, not even against a dual purpose bike like a KTM or Triumph Tiger, or the 955 Daytona I had.....over in first gear.
I wish I could tell you exactly which Harley Davidson it was. But it was dark and before sunrise. I do know that his bike had a bright red gas tank and it was a medium size bike. Very loud. My Stingray has only 7,000 miles and I never park at a store and leave it unattended. I drive once or twice a week to work and park under a surveillance camera. The armed guards at work compliment me on the car and they check on it regularly. I doubt I will ever race again in this car.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
