I heard the same thing. I’m sure there are lots of hurdles, but there is a glimmer of hope. WFO Joe said there were at least 50 racers present at the meeting and each one got up to give their 2 minute speech. I can’t remember when he said the next meeting is, but it would be great if a lot more supporters of the track showed up.
I presume the biggest hurdle is finding someone willing to pay the asking price for the track, as the owners want to sell…. Someone needs to go knock on Johnny Gray’s door and get him to buy it.

Folks, the current zoning matter is of no consequence, really...I spoke with the track folks on Saturday and their last day is next Saturday...IRG is closing the track regardless...if the current purchase agreement does not happen they will just wait for another buyer while keeping the track closed...sorry for the news but it is what it is...the people fighting the good fight are great but they cannot make IRG stay open if they do not want to...at the price they are asking for the property, nobody could buy it and run a drag strip unless they are a billionaire willing to lose money every day on the operation...the numbers just do not work...again, sorry for this post because I want the track to stay open as well but the highest and best use for this property is no longer a racing facility...qwap!...

Rick, a well deserved congratulations. I can't think of another racer who deserves this final final win as much as you. The win is validation of the years of hard work you have put into the sport. This is the last final round for PBIR but not your last final appearance. Congrats and good luck to ya.
