  Congrats, I used to get busted on for my gears all the time when I had the 2.73s, it's a great feeling the first time you hit 12s. Now it's time to try for the 11 second barrier after your gears and TC :D Hopefully I'll beat ya to it
Congrats on the "New Best". Also on breaking the 2.00 barrier for your 60' time. Don't even THINK about gears and a converter on those tires. You might want to see what tires alone can do. Good luck, and...
what am i looking at when i put in pt2800,and 3.15's in march when driving on the street with run flats. will i go up in smoke alot. better start saving for d/r's i guess... :chevy

And so, we now have another full-fledged candidate for Mod Aholics Anonymous!
Mitch, congrats on getting into the 12's!
You are right to assume that you will need to go to the sticky tires. If you want to save some $$$, you might want to consider going straight to the ET Streets and forego the DR's. I think this will be particularly true if your goal is to get into the 11's. :yesnod:
Again, bigtime congrats on this significant acheivement! Time to
 :hurray: :flag

Re: New Best E.T. (MC TORCH RED)
Mitch - the difference is that the ET Streets are as close as you are going to get to a slick - AND it is DOT street legal. I haven't had any direct experience driving DR's oir NITTO's so others who are smarter than me can tell you about them. Plenty of threads to search here, too.
In terms of drivability on the street with the ET Streets - not a problem. I have thousands of miles on mine. Typically, during the dry season, I tend to run on them all the time and this is my daily driver - not a trailer queen.
I do, however, want to offer two cautionary notes about the Streets:
1. You do NOT, I repeat you do NOT want to ever drive them faster than 35 mph on wet pavement. They act more like a slick under these conditions and the rear end of the car can easily slip out from under you. If you pay heed to this rule, you should be VERY happy with your improved 60's and e.t.'s at the track. I routinely drive 60 - 100 miles (one way) to various drag strips in Southern California - no problem.
2. Because profile of this tire, you do not want to enter a curve at high speed. Great for street and strip but not for circle/oval racing.
