I hate to inform you all, but i highly doubt i will be attending the first event this year. As it turns out, i was installing a new front suspension on my car and i was just about finished with the passenger side (putting brake pads on) when the seals for the caliper just split and brake fluid went everywhere. now given its not an expensive repair, but i only make 100 dollars a week and i have bills coming. To make matters worse, the guy that installed my lower control arms installed one of them the wrong way so i couldnt finish the drivers side either and I'm out $40 in bushings.
dude i should have had DOWNTIME for my vanity plate i swear!!!! i know the feelin' pal. we have plenty of corvette challenges. anything you miss in person will be recorded on tape. keep your chin up, these cars can be as evil as they are nice
I know it's a long ride down for you to not race, but why don't you come down anyway? Somebody will likely hand you a camera and put your time to good use! :)
BTW, I have a bunch of springtime maintenance items and a few mods planned for mine, but I am only going to wash/wax and maybe, just maybe change the oil, because I figure if I start anything bigger I will not get it finished in time for Saturday! :) MJ
i agree there, but I've been on and off with this project for almost a month.. it was a simple change a arm bushings and springs. but the weather has been nasty (unheated garage) and it turned into a pain. I'm thinking about pulling some stocks :banghead:

I want to thank Corvette Center in Newington CT for helping me get my car back on the road. i brought them my a arm this afternoon, and Frenchie (the head mechanic) popped both bushings out unharmed, turned the stabilizer bar around and put the bushings back in, in about 5 minutes
they didnt charge me a penny, I also got a new caliper from napa. if i can get an extra 50 bucks I can come down on saturday to race
