My very 1st Prefect Light  . I raced in the TX Muscle Car Club Challenge with the Xtreme Corvette Club at TX Motorplex this sat. I was hard to beat on the light all day. This was how my day went at the light; 1st, .051;2nd, .017; 3rd, .000    and then it ended like this; -.027 :mad :smash: :banghead: . Well I did have fun and I am looking forward to the TMCCC at Hallsville in April. MY previous best was a .503 on a .500 light, this was a .000 light for those that don't no. :seeya
Reaction time has always been a measure of time from the last yellow to the unbreaking of the start line photo cell beam. On a Pro tree, .400 was perfect, .500 on a five tenths tree. In the interest of a clearer understanding by those less involved in the sport, than most of us, NHRA has decided to call a perfect light a .000. The difference in time that the "green" comes on and you unbreak the beam. The lower the positive number your RT, the better the light. Any negitive number is a red light. For one thing, it eliminates the confusion when the tree is changed for different classes. While a .410 on a pro tree is the same as a .510, it is confusing to the less dedicated fans. It's a PR thing.
Have it bronzed. Blow it up and frame it. Two years ago, I had my first .500 in time trials. A month or so later, another .500 time trial. Damn! Why not in elims? In October, same year, in the first round of the Jackpot race, at the division 7 finals in Vegas, I popped my first ever, in eliminations, perfect light. That also, happened to be my closest race, ever. I won and took the strip by .0011. I was shaking after reading THAT time slip! I haven't had one since. Good luck, and...
Your 11's on street tires was also very impressive.
Thanks a lot Red Rocket , heat those BFgs up better an look out  . Drop the air psi to 19psi and smoke them for 4sec and you will have a new 1/4 best  .See ya in April :seeya . Fellows I will save this slip along with some other good racing acomplishments that I have enjoyed.
