Launch from an idle and watch the tach to see at what RPM the car starts to move.
i burned up two rossler 700's doing just that!(LOTS of idle punches) :D on street tires and a high torque motor, that technique can be quite fun. :auto:
Are you using your stock tach to measure RPMs?? When I compare the actual RPM from the computer, to what my tach shows, the tach is a good 300-400 off. Heard the stock tachs are terrible..

You are correct Mark, all factory tachs are off by at least 200 rpm, that was done on purpose, some are more, Mackey's was off by 500. He has an aftermarket tach in his car.

I'm using the Super Yank 3500 and it flashes at 3000 rpm..3500 rpm....I don't watch the tach much since I use my light most of the time....The few times I've watched the tach it's close to the flash point.....I never preload the car.....always launch from idle.....within a second the light flashes and I'm into second gear. I love the way that Super Yank 3500 hits.....very hard. :flag :seeya Cappy
