CCW wheel package- Weight differential
I just purchased mine and I can tell you it's a good 80-100 lbs. less ...the wheels and tires are MUCH lighter and the drag on the front is also less due the skinnies. John of CCW tells me to expect .5 off my E.T..I'll be happy with .3 :yesnod:
with my front stock rims/tires and 17" Zr1/315 BFGs in rear, my car weighed 3046. (1/8 tank, no driver)
With the complete CCW drag set (et streets and skinnies), the car weighed 3020. (1/8 tank, no driver)
So, 26lbs. lighter.

Using Skinnies:
I dropped 43 lbs off the front end from using Z06 replicas wheels.
I dropped 28 lbs off the front end from using Y2k chrome OEM wheels.

One thing to keep in mind is that rotating mass is much more critical than static.
Rotating mass is what the name implies, tires, rims, rotors, drive shaft.
1 lbs. of rotating mass will effect your times equal to about 4 lbs. of static weight! Do the math! If you loose 20 to 25 lbs off your rims, that's quite a bit of weight savings! :lurk:

According to my bath scale the skinnies are 10 pounds lighter than the stock fronts. The rear ET Streets are 5.5 pounds lighter than BFG 315/35-17 drag radials on 12" CCWs; so I saved a total of 31 pounds, 20 on the front.
I have a 00 C5 Coupe and weighed the run flats, then my street Grand Sport set with ZR1 tires, then my CCW set. The CCW set is 82 lbs. lighter than the grand Sport Set and 126 lbs. lighter than the stock set. All weighed on a bathroom scale +\- ?

thats pretty close to what I got. That shows how much lighter the Z06 wheels are to begin with.

100lbs? You guys need to invest in a new scale, or its time to get some new glasses. The difference from my z06 wheels to the CCW's was at most 20 pounds for all 4. And I only picked up 3 tenths over my stock wheels and tires :skep: I couldnt believe thats all I picke up. Just goes to show how good the suspension is on the vette.
just happen to have a set up factory z06 wheel and tires i took on trade yesterday, with 5 k miles on them
factory 2002/2003 z06 wheels and tires (the f-1's are a fairly light tire)
48 lb rear/44 lb front
drag setup
40 rear/ 30 front
44 lb total compared to 2002/2003 z06 wheels and tires
dont have any runflat setup o compare to but did weigh a 315 bfg drag radial on a 17x12 rear and it came in at 46 lbs
