help me get quicker, please!
60' 2.207
330' 5.814
1/8 8.736
MPH 85.66
1000 11.181
1/4 13.256
MPH 107.17
That time, I launched at 2500 and managed to keep it there through getting the clutch out. Things I've tried:
- Lowering rear tire pressue to 22: only decreased my MPH from 108 to 105, no improvement
- Launch at 3500 instead of 1000 or 2500. I successfully did this my last try without spinning badly, but no improvement
I burn out only enough to try to get the crap off my tires.
Had an AWESOME evening out at Houston Raceway Park yesterday http://www.houstonraceway.com/cal2000/hr06222003.htm. Sunday Instant Green racing was sooo much better than Friday night due to so many fewer people. I got 16 runs in! That compares to waiting, waiting, waiting on Friday nights for a half dozen runs.
Sorry I didn't get to spend more time working with you. Yesterday was entirely too hot. With the temps like they were a decent time was completely out of reach. Yesterday, my car was down .5-.6 and 5 mph over what it runs in the winter time. Don't fret your times right now. Work on getting your 60's down. Once you do that, and the weather cools down a bit I would think a 12 would not be an issue. Right now, your 60' times are just not there. You are going to need a 1.9 or a 1.8 60' to get it in mid 12's in decent weather.
Now if you wait until the weather cools down a bit, you could run about the same 60' time and be in the 12.7-12.8s. I don't know if you look at the heat and humidity yesterday, but when i left the shop, it was 100 degrees and the humidity was high. I think @ 7PM it was still in the high 90's. You won't get a good run like that.
My best pass yesterday was
60 - 1.717
330 - 5.065
1/8 - 7.836
mph - 89.56
1000 - 10.195
1/4 - 12.187
mph - 113.15
The heat was just killing HP yesterday.
