you wont need tubes oliver. just make sure you mark the tire near the valve stem so you can see if the tire has slipped at all.
Thanks!!!
I still haven't decided if I will go with ET Streets or not... I might just get a new set of Drag Radials.. but I'm not sure... I would like to drive the car to the strip (400 miles round trip) a few times and I don't know if the ET Streets are save for such long trip..
I assembled my brand new ET's and they where leaking through the little rubber **** in the side walls. I called Mickey and they said there is no garentee that they will hold air. hmmm. Well they wouldnt return them because I already had about 10 passes on them. My fault, didnt wait for a week to see if they would hold air.
Last year, my older set of ET's I ran them with no tubes and no-problem.
Now I am running tubes and screws in my nice Welds and they hold air. Got to screw them though.
Yo Oliver!! I'm running E.T.'s without tubes & without screws and haven't lost any air in them and they sit for almost a month between uses. I was told that once you start climbing over 500hp they should be screwed or you might get screwed!! So far I have not gotten screwed!! I'm running 12lbs in them and I noticed in Tracey's video that off the line they are doing some serious wrinkling. I'm getting some Ansen sprints next week and will probably screw them and get tubes. I think tubes will prolong the life of the side wall. I did have a buddy find the sidewall starting to split and he was losing air,(with no tubes) after how many runs I don't know, but it was a mustang with alot of spray. :steering:

I might stay with Drag Radials... The potential issues with the ET Streets don't sound like fun... Haven't decided yet... Will see...
Oliver, there really isn't any "issues" with e.t.'s. Like anything else, do it right and you won't have any issues. E.T.'s should have tubes and to be safe they should be screwed. If your going to use an extra set of wheels, you should defenitly go with e.t.'s. They defenitly have a softer compound that obiously will give you more traction. I wouldn't drive either drag t/a's or e.t.'s on the street here in florida because at any given moment you can hit rain and forget about it, with either tire. After all this I hope we're talking about your c3.
GrandSportC3.....
I'm running MT ET Streets without screws and tubes.
However I do not go below 20 psi tire pressure....
If fact on one of my 11 sec passes, I forgot to let the air out.....ran with 35 psi....so letting air out really doesn't matter to me.
I will continue to run without screws and tubes as long as as I stay with high pressure in my tires.....If I ever go below 20 psi I will use tubes and screws....since I watched a guy do the wall at the bottom of the quarter and over 100 MPH......It was not a pretty sight...He had 10 PSI on drag radials...and no tubes no screws...Common sense should prevail out there.....Tires have to have air in them to stick the bead to the rim.....10 to 12 psi is very low pressures for a tire to stay on the rim. :flag :seeya Cappy

I would not run them with less than 15 psi anyway...
I am running DR and have had some problems recently hooking up. Raising the HP is the investment to ET streets make that much of a difference? If so should I run tubes and screws? Expectations of 600 hp. What are your thoughts?

If you have problems hooking up.. ET Streets should give you a lot more traction.. They are basically slicks...
