L98 Crossfire
Some of you have been following the Crossfire on the L98 topic. For something to do until the 406 is finished I installed a ported Crossfire intake with 2" throttle bodies on a Stock '90 L98 long block.
The previous results were my youngest sons first passes down a drag strip. He had a blast!. I made the current passes. Various tuning changes netted no performance improvements. In previous passes the trans was allowed to auto shift at 4800 rpm out of first and second. An instant .14 decrease in et was noted when trans was shifted out of 2nd at 5500 rpm. Now a shift kit to fix the forced shift out of 1st.

It had been 10 years since I made pass down the track and that was in our Super Gas car. The rush is still there---- even though it was slower. :steering:
