I had the night off so i went over to Gulfport Dragway to make a few runs. Keep in mind that this is the 1st time i've ever done this, but even so I was a little disapointed with myself.
1st pass, got a good start, but missed the 2-3 shift and just rolled to the finish line

2nd pass was ugly from the start, got on it to hard and spun the tires, had lift off to get control of the car. I finished @ 106.68mph, but had a 1.0095 reaction and a 2.8882 60'.
Either way, it was fun and I'll do it again the next time I can. To look on the bright side, i can only get better from here. Even so, I still want to :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
We all had to start somewhere, don't be so hard on yourself :yesnod: I'm kicking myself tonight since I could only muster a 12.01 in my quest for 11s :banghead: I think I need driving lessons
It gets better and funner. I still suck and its almost the end of the season, but there is always next year. Talk to other drivers everyone has tons of helpful suggestions.
Join the club...My first drag race outing was terrible. I couldn't get a burn out to work. I was messing up shifts. My best run never got a time because I had a shifter problem staging and was red-lighted for not getting out of the traps in time.....
This sport is definately one of practice makes perfect, especially with a MN6. Hey, I have been a number of times to the track and I still haven't got it right; I am inconsistent as hell.

(chaase) leave the car in 3rd or OD after you do your burnout. You can't beat that computer shifting at the optimum shift point.
