I just bought these Centerline front skinnies, and I am wondering if my lugs are sitting in like they should. I have a 1987 Vette and the dimensions of the skinnies are 15 x 3.5 x 1 5/8ths. The Jegs pn is 065351547.
The lugs tighten up seemingly fine. Is this just the way they are?
Please give me some input on this, I wanted to use them this upcoming weekend. Thanks !!!

With that size spacer, i would recommend longer, stronger (ARP or Moroso) studs. Why are you using such a thick spacer? My weld prostars clear my calipers without any spacers

I am not using any spacer. It is all the wheel. Everything clears on the back.

Not real sure what your trying to show by the pictures? But I I think I ran those same exact wheel (dads) last year till I got some welds. They worked fine on my car and the lugs were back in a tad like that if that is what your worried about.
garsh as bad as it is, I think that is the way my welds are also. But damned if I can remember, pretty sad when you do it nearly every other week.
Both of mine clear the front calipers. the rears welds well that is another story  :D
PS with respect to the lugs. As long as they are not going in and bottoming out, you should be fine. If they bottom out the wheel might remain loose. Can you wiggle the wheel back and forth once they are tightened. For the front I found its VERY important to torque them all to the same spec. ~75-80ft-lbs. That way the wheel will spin without the brakes grabbing. Could be a .05 sec difference :D

I wanted to show how the lugs are a bit recessed into the lug opening...
But Yes, what you stated is exactly what i am concerned about. Any reason that you switched to the welds?
Thanks for the input Jesse & Ralph.
Any of you guys know what your backspacing is on your skinnies?
Re: Front SKINNIES…Paging all users ! Need Help. (Hole-Shot)
Well if I were going to run those wheels, I'd check to see how much thread is IN THE LUG NUT. Make sure there is plenty or get some longer studs for your car. It's better to have to use a different lug nut and have plenty of threads than to risk a wheel comming loose or off or even the possibility of a broken stud end....ZO6Bill :auto: :flag

I am of the understanding that the weld pro star fronts (3.5") have neutral or 0" back spacing.
I use the welds and need a 7/16" spacer for them to clear my J55 option HD brake calipers that needed to also have the fins ground off.
I used the longer ARP metric studs and they have about 3 threads protruding past the pro star when installed. I use the weld long shank nuts. They reach deep, but technically the studs are not NHRA compliant. I understand GM perf part # 22551491 are a little longer than the ARP's.
