Depending on your mods.
The more modded the car is the more likely it helps.
On a basically stock/lightly modded car it does not make much of a difference, at least not one that I was able to measure with all the other variables.
As for ruining the suspension, it does not do that. I have it removed on my car for a year and a half now. You will only miss it with spirited (high speed turns) driving. Regular street driving hard to tell the difference.

I did it on my C4, I didn't go any quicker, but my 60' times got more consistent :confused:

I agree that it doesn't ruin the handling, but once you put it back in, it's hard to take back off again.

There will be people who say it's worth doing, and some say it isn't regarding this topic.
You'll have to see what happens to your car when removing it and feel if it's worth it.
