What do you guys think....? I stirred up a bees nest with the Texas Racing Scene guys when I said my 96 LT4 Vette could beat any stock mustang.
The first reply was not a SVT Cobra...then not my Bullitt, How do you think I would do against these FORDS in Quarter mile on a track.

What mods do you have on your LT4? I gurantee those guys with those FORDS aren't coming stock...that Bullit is just basically a GT though..but that 03 SVT Cobra (S/C one) is a quick monster. If he's not stock (Intake/+Boost/Exhaust) watch out...

:iagree: Most '03 SVT Cobras I have seen have been modded. IMHO if you see one, it has been modded until proven otherwise because they are so cheap to make extremely powerful due to the blower. All thats needed to get it "significantly" above its rated 390 HP at the flywheel is pulleys, cat back exhaust, and some programming.

I have seen one with just these mods (minus the cat backs, as he still had the stock exhaust) its owner claims puts over 400HP at the rear wheels. He claims to have spent less than $900.00 on mods and runs the low 12s and traps at 110+. I witnessed the ET and trap speed first hand.

Watch out for that 03 s/c Cobra they run strong. The bullit will need some mods to even run with you if you can drive that LT4. :thumbs: :boxing :smash: :cheers:

the new sc 03 cobras run 12.0 at 116 with just a pulley, chip, and tires.

:iagree: If you are talking about taking on one of the 03 Cobras in a straight line, be sure you come correct. You are going to have a fight on your hands. With all due respect the '03 is an entirely different animal than the normally aspirated '01. A broken in bone stock '03 Cobra with a halffway decent driver will run in the high 12s all day.

Thing is though, thats all the '03 Cobra does well. The forged internals allow its owners to really turn up the boost, and as such the horsepower with those pulleys. Its rear end and tranny , however, are pieces of crap. The rest about the car is unimpressive too, to say the least.
