[DRAG RACING NEWBIE] Please Define 'Test & Tune'
For someone who has never dragged, but might want to:

"Test n' Tune" at the drag strip is, in effect, a time when anyone can come and race their car for practice....there are no prizes or races set up by the track...you just get in line and whoever you happen to be next to you run...some tracks do put the "faster" cars in two specific lanes to avoid having a guy with a heavily modded, 10 second car, from running against a stock 16 second car....all cars are supposed to meet the tracks safety (tech) rules however...go for it and have a ball....

What it is, is, it's name. When the track has a Test & Tune (T&T) session, you go, and run your car. Some tracks call the cars to the staging lanes by class (ET potential) and some just let you come to the lanes when you are ready. Between runs, you have the opportunity to make adjustments (the Tune part of T&T) to your car, and then make a run (Test) to evaluate the tuning. The tuning is optional. You will be sent down the track beside another car. There are no dial ins, and no winners or loosers. The pass is stricktly for your time slip and seat time. You keep running until they send you home, or you break. Good luck, and...
