Hi, my name is Dan and I'm a drag-a-holic...

I went down with a bad back right after Thanksgiving...2 weeks in bed..I thought last wed. night was the last test n' tune of the year at Orlando Speedworld...I get out of bed and go to the track only to find out last night was the actually the end of racing for a month... :crazy: ...last week put me back in bed but I'm slowly getting better...

Yesterday I'm horizontal, in bed, and it's a cold, crisp day (for Florida)...I start looking at the clock around 4 PM...by 4:45 I'm shaking, my mouth is dry and it's hard to breathe...at 5 PM I'm in my car heading to the track... :eek:

It' obvious I need one of two things....an intervention or a motor home to live at the track...help me please... :D :lolg:

FWIW I got 6 runs in bringing my total for the year to 218 runs...I did get to see GTB/ZR1 run his 368 SGC factory black motor ZR1...he's an SCCA racer and comes to the drag strip only once or twice a year...he ran 11.85 @ 123.5 mph on all motor... :thumbs:

Okay, I feel better for admitting my problem...I need to go now and search the web to see which track in Florida opens first in January... :lolg: :lolg:

Unfortunately it's also my last step...I've already got another shoe box for next year's time slips and I'm scheming to get down to Moroso on Jan. 15th... :lolg:

Dan, glad to see our little talk about you having a problem worked. :lol: Like i said last night admitting it is half the battle. Only problem i see is, there is no cure so i guess it's a losing battle. Enjoy the fight....... :D :steering:

It will be OK, In time you will be hitting the tree, slamming on the breaks so you don't breakout. Soon you will be cursing about why I did not hit the tree better or hit the brakes sooner. :crazy:

Great news about Moroso!! Main complaint there is how the road race course crosses into the drag strip and a berm is created by the turn there. In a dragster you can get airborne...causes crashes every year.
