I have failed :(
After almost making it through the winter without a single mod, just three short weeks from my first race of 2004, I have dropped the car off some mods.
Nothing drastic, just
Kooks headers with x-pipe (old set for sale :) )
and
Electric water pump
Jeez when you mod this much the rwhp/dollar really goes up!!
This is it. No more!!

Sooner or later, you become sick of spending $ on the car, you leave it alone....then you become bored of the power and you spend spend spend again!
Not that I'd know, but it seems speed is worse than drugs! Highly addictive.

Man, you guys are killing me with all this logic. Mine is planned to go in for a tweak or two as well. It reminds me of when I owned a boat, after a while, you simply can't think about the cost benefit ratio, if you do it takes all the fun out of it. For me, all I do is smile.:thumbs:

Redgar, have you seen anyone run without a belt ? I have seen some F-bodys around here try but they breakup on the topend. Please post up the results. :cheers:

All my race cars started as daily drivers. One thing led to another. Hmmm 12's is OK, What about 11's? I think I can go in the 9's for a small amount of $$, Then there are the fabulous 9's - The ultimate dream. Then your thinking, I am in the low 9's why not go for the 8's. How much would it cost? Can't be much since I am so close?
I have said that to myself over the years for 2 race cars, The 3rd one (Vette) will be kept a street car. I do miss driving to the track, Racing, Then driving home. That is a good feeling. It is nice to have something that can be driven to the track and also be able to drive it on a long trip.
As for Edgar, I see inthe future as this going quicker and then looking into another Vette. Just my thoughts.
