Well. I've been drag racing since 1967 and thought I had seen it all but this past Saturday Keith Valone(Splitwindo) C4 showed the world that you can BRACKET RACE A 9.second Corvette.

Keith made it to the semis in the bracket race and won the Quick 8 race beating Paul Major's C5 in the finals.

To me Keith performance was the highlight of the day, that red C4 Vette hooked and went straight and very fast, @ 149 mph.

Did i mention Keith is also one great guy, Super job Keith.

 

I'm glad you got to see what we see every month in the Challenge in Bradenton...heck of a car and driver!...we have our hands full with Keith, Emily and Larrry in the field every month!...just think, I get to race them all over again this weekend at the Super Chevy Show in Bradenton... :crazy: : :lol:

 

John, if you were impressed, then this car/driver (Slitwindo) must have been great to watch. I was hoping to see more pics of his car and perhaps ask him a few questions.

 

Phil, you could see him on the brakes running just over his dial and killing 20 mph. Thats not easy to do and this car hooks everytime on the foot brake and goes straight as an arrow. It was some show.

There are MANY more pics of the cars. Keith's Corvette Connections team took, not only 500 pictures, but alos video of EVERY run. Give them some time and you will get a look at them.

Mackey, not just bracket race it that beast but "footbrake" it as well. He came within .001 of perfect light when he lost.

Our Eckler's Florida Corvette Challenge racers are well aware of just how good Keith is as he finished fourth in points in 2003 http://flacorvettechallenge.com/2003drivers.php

In fact, all three drivers in the semis of the National were all in the top 4 of the EFCC

Well let me tell you MACKEY = you are one first class guy . Your the reason DRAG RACING keeps going, you make things happen and interesting for everyone.
