Re: Dog Bone broke (CFI-EFI)
It looks like the upper arm just pulled apart, allowing the rear to rotate pulling the bottom rod apart, now the spindle assemble is free. it rotated the tire up and under the 1/4 pnl and and snapped the 1/2 shaft and u-joint.
a tow truck asked me about a '96 red vette while working at the 1/8 mile and yours was the only one i saw all day, i immediately thought something happened to your car.... sounds like a hell of a fix
Good luck getting it fixed. Sounds like you're lucky enough to have some parts doners. This is the first time i've heard of the bone going, so i guess that rounds it out.......now i've heard of every single part in there breaking :nonod: Gives me a real feeling of confidence launching these things.

Ralph, I've got to believe the upper bone went first, I don't believe if the u-ouint went first it would not have broken the dog bone.
This composite bone looks like it just pulled apart.
What a mess.
