Default soaking the tires

anyone soak the tires to make them hook up better ?
it works on the circle track car, I was wondering if the drag guys do it ?

oh yeah, is it legal ?

Soaking the tires and/or applying the VTH compound to make them stick to the surface better. Well the concept sounds great, however, the moment you burnout its gone. If you try to have someone re-apply after burnout the track guys won't allow it. Save your $25 for the jug-no secret advantages for traction without going the mile for the slicks and heat. Sorry.

Well I can tell you there ARE some chemicals that work longer than the burn out in circle track. You put it in thru the valve stem. It then soaks from the inside out permeating all the rubber. Not sure if it'd be safe on street tires though.
