Looking to get some info on ETStreets for my 99. What brand and size are you C5 owners using? Especially looking for input from owners that have used drag radials compared to ET. Which did you find worked better?
Also would consider slicks, but don't know enough about what's available out there. For those using 16"rims, I understand you have to grind down something on the car to gain clearence? Explain more on that.
The CCWs I have have are 16" and there is some grinding needed. MT does make a 17" that requires no grinding however and I am not sure if ccw has a wheel for it.
Hawk one thing to keep in mind is that the mix of radial fronts and bias ply rears is a very unual feeling at that the top end. The car will tend to sway more so than with bias ply all around. If you do mix the tires, be careful up there.
Thanks Edgar, I'll keep that in mind. I did locate a pair of 16" Firebird wheels with Mickey Thompson ET STreets, so it looks like that's the way I will go.
If I put bias ply tires on the front, are you saying it would be better than mixing the radial/ bias? I can see why that would make sense, just want clarification.
Well, I finally got some 16" firebird wheels with ET Streets on them. Have started the "grinding" to get them to fit. Hopefully be able to try them out this weekend. Thanks guys for the input and the advice.
