Default First time at the track

I brought my car to the track this weekend and am pretty happy for the first time out with it..I ran 12.60 at 113mph with 2.03 60'..The best 60' of the day was 1.94 but that pass wasn't my best. I ran the car on F1s and i was only power shifting 1st to 2nd. I think their is some left in her. I will try to launch for aggressive next time. The car made 345hp and 346trq at the wheels. It has a 2002 z06 motor with a macleod twin disc clutch..Are these number any good compared to others with the same mods..I put my ripper in yesterday and a z06 air lid..Will they much of a diff. What times can i see with ET Streets and a 5000Rpm launch? Are 11.99 possibile?..Thanks

good stuff...2.0 60ft on F1s is good. In order to see 11s you will probably need more traction...drag radials will get you 1.7 60ft launching near 4000 rpm....to get safely into the 11s put some gears in it (3:90 or 4:10) and LT headers....good luck.

if you add gears and drag radials make sure you get the harden diff. shaft.
4000-5000 launch will need it

I hope you have a vehicle ready to tow you home after your 5000 RPM launch. At a minimum you should go with a hardened output shaft before launching that hard.

DO yourslf a favour and install the shaft. Might as well swap gears well your in there. I made the mistake of waiting until it broke. My car has been on stands for over two weeks waiting for parts.

My buddy launched this car many times last year at 5000rpm when the car had a ARE 383 stroker on the jug..The car made 670hp and 760 tq to the wheels last year and never had a problem..This with stock shafts..
