I don't think that car has a IRS. It most likely has 4 link with a solid axle

Major Spray , That's a awesome car! What is your rearend setup? Tom's 12 bolt IRS? What size slicks do you run? Going turbo so I'm just trying to get a feel on how much power the drivetrain can handle. It's a nice vert body so no cutting it up for me. Did you reinforce any part of your frame? Do you have a web site on that car? Sorry for all the questions Thanks!

The car has a 3rd member from TOM's (one hell of a set up) The only down fall is its only NRHA legal to 10.0. The welded in rollbar added some frame stiffing. I tire is a 10.5 ET street. Good luck

N2O

Doesn't anyone use their "thinking cap" any more and build real HORSEPOWER . All I hear mentioned is with this "shot" & that "shot". I don't know... My buddy has a '64 running 9.60's on a "baby" motor, and a couple of other guys running in the 8's ON MOTOR. ???????

Personally, I'm going to use Nitrous because I want my car to be 100% stock acting when I drive it daily.

That's great. I understand "to each his own"..

BUT 50-75 "shot" (there's that word again ) will not make much of a difference on an L98. 100-125 "shot"... that engine isn't going to last very long. That's why they call it "cheap" HP. I'm not that famalier with C4 engines but I think the L98 is not one of the better engines. So I guess put the N2O (no offense) "blow it up" and then build an HP engine. There are plenty of combos for "computer" Vettes that are very mild sounding but kick butt. Good Luck

Stop the BS Show me a C2 with stock suspension run 8's N/A. NOS is just like any other mod you have to know what your doing to get results. I run LARGE SHOTS and do it every chance I get. I have no motor problems. I have hundred of NOS passes on both my cars with no problem. It can be done very safely the more aggressive you get the more critical the tune. Rich is safe make small adjustments to reach your goals you wont have a problem. As far as cheap HP I tend to disagree. First off check out the cost of a quality setup then go refill those bottles a few times. It’s not for everyone but it is a great mod.

Try going turbo, also best of both worlds. You can drive it daily with a low compression small cam motor on 87 octane, then put good gas in, crank up the boost and make over 1000 hp.

I agree. Those all forged motors built correctly will run you a fortune.
