Default ET Street techniques..........

99 FRC (MN6). Approx. 400RWHP (370RWHP on a Mustang Dyno). Stock clutch. 26X11X17 ET Streets on order for 17X8.5" wagon wheels. Bandimere Speedway, Morrison, CO. Approx. 6000ft elev. Any advise/experience for tire psi's, launch RPM and clutch teqnique would be appreciated. I at least need a starting point as we only get two time trials for Club Clash nights. TIA, Chris

my take from friends on ET-streets, psi at 16lbs or less, they do strong burnout, launch above 5000rpm (some at 6000rpm) on clutch dump...result is 1.6 to 1.5 60ft....they ALL have clutch upgrade and hardened output shaft with a rear brace...most also have line-lock. Then they power shift at near 200 to 300 rpm below rev-limit. Result is all in 11s several 10s.

several do a similar process but with slight slip of clutch....good luck.

I run drag radials at 16lbs, burnout, launch at 4000rpm and get 1.7 60fts....only thing stopping me from ET-streets and 6000rpm launches are "*****" and financial depth for repairs...but i will also probably not see 10s either.

I heard that. After putting 2 clutches in I'm getting a little gun shy myself. I'm thinking about leaving the drag radials on to make sure the tires are the weak link because they are the cheapest. While I've beefed up with hardened half shaft, tranndy strut brace and on my second twin street clutch. A line lock and a great set of ET's WILL find your next weak link.

You said hot day 12 cold day 14?

I would think the opposite.

Can I ask why lower on hot day?

I usually run 16.5, sometimes a little lower. On a cool day my 60's are in the low 1.5's.

Are you running G-force 295/35/18 drag radials, and if so are they on 9.5 or 10.5 in wide rims? Thanks Ron B.

10 PSI cold. Good burn-out, 6K launch with no clutch slippage = 1.45 60' on a well prepped track.

I'm told that BFG drag radials are actually harder on the drive-train because there is no sidewall flex to absorb shock.
