Almost eights this weekend!!
Havn't had much time to get on here the last couple of weeks....Heres whats been happening with my old 71 smallblock,,Last Friday took her to the strip with the two stage on it!!! Well I brought her up to 4,000 , let her fly and then all I could see was blue sky. I just about put her on the bumper let off it came down and got into it again and she pulled another,,That was it for me ....after cleaning out the seat, I took it home and put some wheelie bars on ...Saturday we took her to a street shootout meet near Lexington Ky and laid down a 9.04 at 148 then backed it up with a 9.03 at 149....won the super street class easily....My setup is 71 vette 3,000 lbs, 427 smallblock ,,it was on 10.5 inch wide ET streets through the muffs 100 juice on a progressive snitz controller for the first stage and 100 juice on the second stage comeing in 4 seconds down the line..Im sure, and we will be trying it soon, if we go to 10.5 w slicks and bring second stage in sooner we will see 8.80's at 150 or so....then after this old guy gets over that we are going to a 300 shot for mid eights,,,big fun ..got to get to Englishtown this fall..............Jerry

maybe for the last pro 8 we can get enough cars to hold the field to 9 seconds to qualify - something like a preview for a tuner shootout next spring.

Thanks for the great responce guys. We will be coming to the Oct. 23 race so you guys can see her in person...she has 427 cubes, dart block with 14 degree pro heads, 400 trans, Aerospace brakes, Modular 9" rearend, and much more...12.5 compression , about 800 hp on motor, 4.10 gears....Street Driven alot with Drag- radials,,Hooks nicely............Jerry
