Default Desktop Racers...

Predict a time I should be running N/A (and then nitrous) if...

383 stroker @ 9.5:1
Shifting at 5500 - 5800 RPM ( limiter set at 6000)
Super ram and 58 mm tb
Hooker 2149's
335 rwhp/ 480 (nitrous)
410 rwtq/ 585 (nitrous)
3.33 gear
zf6 speed
Centerforce dual friction clutch
BFG DR's 275/40/17 @ 20 psi hot

I should be able to pull 1.6x 60 foot times too right?

I know you've all seen these and some of you probably hate these, but my car has never ran right, and I know it has way more potential in it than it is showing.

So this is to humour me / make me hang my head in shame for not running as fast as it should.

I did have a previous Mustang dyno of 305 rwhp/398 rwtq but it was "pinging really bad" (what the operator said), so looking at similar setups, I guessed at the 335/410 numbers.

But if you let the air pressure in those rear tires down to 18 pounds, you'll really be cookin'.

I'm not sure to take that as a joke or not CFI-EFI.

I figured N/A it should run like around a 12.3 @ 115 and on the bottle it should run like an 11.0 @ 125 or so.

With that information, the point of the question is...????? You don't like my numbers? Will someone else's look better? Is this open to the highest bidder? I thought I was in the running, for THAT. Hook the nitrous bottle up to the computer, THAT ought to make better numbers. Forget every Tom, Dick, and Harry's, speculation. Just take it to the track and YOU tell US what it runs.

RACE ON!!!

Well, I was asking for some help cuz I know it's not running anywhere near it's potential.

I just want something to shoot for cuz I'll keep tinkering with it until it's right. I didn't think my expectations were unrealistic.

I have posted what it runs in other posts, but I forgot to mention it in this one.

N/A on BFG KDW's second time out bogging it off the line so I wouldn't spin, I only got a..

60 foot --- 1.971
330 foot ---5.811
660 foot ---8.511
660 mph ---84.947
1/4 ET -----13.226
1/4 mph ----105.391

And, on the only day I tried nitrous, the first run I had a nitrous "pop" in my super ram which messed up my MAF, but the second run, I could only get a 60 foot in the high 1.8's and ran a 12.8 @ 108. The car felt sluggish and is getting worse.

I asked what I should run, because if everyone feels that I should only be running what I am, then I won't keep at my mechanic and tell him things are wrong, but if it's supposed to be like a full second better than what I am running I'd like to know.

Speaking of the computer, I hooked a laptop with Datamaster up to it, and it's pulling 7 degrees of timing at WOT. How much would that hurt performance?

Take it serious or not CFI, but I'm sure someone won't mind helping without joking. That's what makes this forum great.

In THIS context, it is a reasonable request. The post I originally responded to, sounded like all the inane, "what should my car run" questions, that come from idiots that want to take a guessers speculations and use them for bragging rights, because they don't have the stones to go to a track. Expressed in THIS manner, I have to apologize and beg off because *I* don't have the experience with a set up close to yours. The best I can offer, is to keep tuning and make it better. That's how I got a stock Crossfire into the 13's. Good luck, and...

CFI-EFI makes a very good point.. in your "First" post it was totally out in left field.. Example.. What should my stock 96 run, with only 1.6RR

Would you have guessed 12.2 @ 110 mph... no.. but there is what CFI-EFI is talking about...

If your car is set up the way you said

>>383 stroker @ 9.5:1
Shifting at 5500 - 5800 RPM ( limiter set at 6000)
Super ram and 58 mm tb
Hooker 2149's
335 rwhp/ 480 (nitrous)
410 rwtq/ 585 (nitrous)
3.33 gear
zf6 speed
Centerforce dual friction clutch
BFG DR's 275/40/17 @ 20 psi hot<<

I think you are about 1 sec slow.. using my 96 as a comparison, I ran 12.2 on a motor with NO mods, so off hand I'd say you have some tuning issues..
Ralph (another forum member) has run 11.60 with a 350, cam, heads & Super Ram intake.. Bottom line if you paid for the engine work, I dont think its running up to its potential... Talk to your engine builder ....

I see you are a 6 speed & I'm automatic, my 60' was 1.65 with drag radial, you should be at least 1.70 with a stick, & if you spray iy 1.5
