Newbie Help.
The question I have is about my automatic transmission. I'm going to take my vette to the strip next weekend and im wondering the best way to get the fastest time. I have a 350/270hp engine, i know it wont be terribly fast i just want to see what it does in the quarter and 0-60. Is it better to start in first gear and shift up to second then third, or start in third and just hold the pedal to the medal? Should i rev it up in neutral then drop in into third, or should i put it in drive and hold the gas and brake and let off the brake?

I'm assuming you dont have drag race experience, if thats the cse, I suggest putting it in D hold the break, & just floor it...
DONT PUT IT IN ..N.. & REV & PULL IT TO ..D.. You'll be looking for a new tranny..

NO Neutral drops!!!!! Just follow John's instructions and you will do fine! 
And ask questions from other racers on how to properly stage and what the rules are to save you any headaches.
