I went to the EFCC race today and saw some good racing...
It started out with the completion of last months rain delayed semi's and final...Shawn Jeffrey and Larry Beutlich lined up and Shawn took a shot at the tree but had premature accelleration (red light)....Craig Gingrich had the bye into the final....Craig took Larry out in the the final... Craig...
They then ran this months race....in the semi's Craig faced Larry again...I guess "turn about is fair play"....Craig had a very nice package with an .047 light but Larry had other ideas...he put an .008 package on Craig including a "screwed up red light" of .000.... ....Larry went on to win the final when his opponent left too early.... Larry
Looks like the big winners of the day were Larry "tough as nails" Beutlich solidifying his lead in the points, and Craig "the silent assassin" Gingrich who passed Mike Thorne to take over 4th after his win and then possibly moved into 3rd past Rodney Campo with his semi finish...
A fellow showed up with his stock C6...didn't run in the challenge but I saw 2 of his test n tune runs....he has a black MN6 coupe....ran 13.8's both times....
Awesome day! I saw some stratagy today that proved some of the drivers are thinking! I saw Rodney line up with Larry B early on...a good sound gutsy move that could have worked!! But Lary got the win and the rest is history.
I cannot believe how many drivers have gone from beginer this spring to very talented bracket racers that should have no fear entering ANY footbrake bracket race!! This group has evident talent.
Thanks for the good words, Fuzz. I had a great weekend of racing!
On Sunday I took my camaro out to the track for some test and tune.
First time it's been to the track in 2 years.
Congrats Larry!! .008 package
