For the longest time I have wanted a vette. At one point my goal was an 8.0 car . After talking to you guys lately I am not sure if that is even reasonable. Tell me what you think 8.0 or is 10.0 secs more realistic! (with a C3)?

I really don't think an 8 sec car will be streetable for daily driving. It will also cost you a bundle!
10 sec's CAN be had w/ DR's or ET Streets & a cam as the only "major" mod, along w/ a few other bolt ons as well. This car can be a DD... Talk to RobZ or Brent....

First you will need $$$$, Then a NHRA license. What has been the quickest you have ever gone in the 1/4 mile? A 8 second ride is not a walk in the park - Nor is a 10 second ride.

Tell me whatcha think!
With a properly fab-ed suspension and a 500wrhp driveline, you should be able to get deep into the 10's. 8's is not realistic, by the time you get there its not a vette anymore its an all out racecar. If thats what you want then you can have anything for the right price.
