Default Will a ported throttle body help?

I just added headers to my C5 and had previously added a Blackwing, x-pipe, and Corsa Indys. I wanted to add a few more things before going extreme with a head/cam combo. I was thinking of adding a ported throttle body and smooth intake coupler for a few extra horses and better response. Has anyone done this mod and seen any improvement. Is it worth doing?

David, the big question is, what future mods do you plan. On my son's 03, the first mods were a Blackwing, Borla's, and a larger throttlebody. Next were headers and longer ratio rockers. All of this was in anticipation of a supercharger, which has now been installed. How big of a cam and head package do you plan? If just a little more than stock, then yes look at a ported throttlebody. If you are going more than a little on the cam and heads, then look at a bigger throttlebody. Or if more mods are planned in the future that will effect the breathing capabilities of the engine, go ahead and spring for a bigger TB, not just a stock one enlarged a little. Plan ahead. Hershey

Good advice Hershey.....thanks. I currently only have headers, a Blackwing, Corsas and an x-pipe. I'm not planning on heads and cam for a couple of years so it sounds like this will work well in the interim.
