open headers good bad?
I have heard people say you shouldnt run stock engines with open headers is this true. I am putting on vortec heads and 224/234 465/488 cam and i already have cutouts. I think the CR is going to be at 9:1 or slightly more. It would be nice to uncap them more often whats the deal?
I also want some loud mufflers i'm talking obnoxiously loud any ideas? I am currently running glasspacks on it.

I'll sell you my Flowmaster Delta Flow 40's can't hear myself think, but them again I have 3 inch pipes. The thing you have to watch out for as I just found put when migrating from 2.5 in. to 3 in. and would be the same for you if you ran open exhaust is a lean condition, I had to rejet 3 sizes up and now running 76 primary and 86 secondary jets in my Holley, I have am putting on a 825 Race Demon this weekend which should be fat if anything
