Help Identifying Big Block
A friend just bought a big block and asked if it can be identified using the numbers on the front of the block. They are C93319804. Supposedly a 454 of unknow vintage. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
P.S the numbers on the heads are as follows: T296 14092360. Any idea what they are? I don't know jack about big blocks

Well the heads are 85-'88 Oval Port 454" truck. Sorry no block numbers for those same yrs. Well that block number C93319804 is not listed from 1958 to 1987.
A '75-'87 454 truck block would have #14015445. Since the heads #14092360 is an 8 digit with matchin first 3 digits (140) i think he's reading the wrong block number.

Yes, thanks. I think he read me the worng number off the block. I think he read me the serial number off the front. I've asked to to check the rear near the bell housing......see what he comes back with.

Nah.....it's actually in a boat. A friend of a friend bought the thing and has no idea what he bought. My friend is trying to help the guy and he's using me as his second level support....LOL.
