Check out Mike Moran's new 'street legal' NSCA Pro Street motor. 442ci BBC with 4 Turbo chargers, estimated to make 2,200+ hp. It's in the new Popular Hot Rodding.
It is gasketless, it uses o-rings instead of gaskets. Instead of head gaskets it uses silver plated, nitorgen filled, aluminum tube o-rings. I think they borrowed the technology from jet turbine engines.
it took me a few seconds to figure all those pipes. Monty I guess that Hogan intakes are just to much restriction.
Many years ago I saw a race car that had changed the intake and exhaust sides. The guy told me that it solved turbo lag because the inside of a V being the exhaust side. That the plumbing kept the total intake volume down. Oiling the turbos was simplified and the engine comparment was smaller.
Is it VERY VERY expensive??? if not, please ask them to box it up and send it over to me for my 74R......I suspect it makes more power than my new 383 buildup, and probably doesn't cost much more......you can't stop me DREAMING.....john

In all my years I have never seen anything like that. I wonder what setup will evolve over the next 20 years, remember 4 engine dragsters in the 60's? Whew.
If I rememebr right they say that the turbos are staged and that the lag is all but eliminated. According to the article I read the idea of the staged turbos is to allow the car to hook up before the big ponies kick in. That thing has got to be a wild ride!
They said it actually has smaller ports in the heads, there exploring the benefits of high velocity, I always think cutting down on the amount of plumbing that needs to be boosted would cut down on lag, but i'm no turbo expert.
