No One seems to want to jump on this one, so I guess I will. Basically, the supercharger can be made to work in any application given enough enginuity to overcome the packaging issues, I have run several different types of superchargers in various applications (including the P-600B), and the concept will work. The P-600B has a rotatable volute so positioning at various angles will not be an issue. Moreover snaking tubes to an intercooler will be the biggest challenge (intercooler is the only way to make long term reliable big power #s). The oild supply and return should not be an issue, so long as the unit is mounted high in the engine compartment. Drive system will be a challenge. See if ATI has akit that fits approx. your year car and either buy the kit, or if you already have the head unit, mimick the installation.

If you do not already have the head unit (P-600B), opt for the D-1, they have a much faster step-up (4.44:1 vs 3.40:1, I think), yeilding more boost at lower RPM. Overall boost between the two units is fairly close, just boost comes on quicker with a D-1.

My thoughts,
Aaron

I talked to a guy last year that said he had a P600 on his 74 350(although I never saw pics). I know for a fact the D1 won't fit a C3 unless you lose your power brake booster, cut and bubble the hood, cut out parts of the inner fender and then I think the drive belt will still hit the control arm. Oh yeah, I don't have power steering so that would probably be a problem as well.

If it isn't already the alternator needs to be moved to the passenger side.

ATI wasn't the best at taking it back...although they eventually did but I lost money on the shipping and a restocking fee. They do not make a C3 kit, just a generic chevy kit.

Maybe I'll do a twin turbo setup next year.

If you don't mind a hole in your hood, a B&M roots blower will not only fit but you can pickem up for less than $2k
