I am converting an LTx block to use a distributor, It came to my attention that there may need to be a bushing in the block where the oil pump driveshaft goes through. can anyone verify this? thanks in advance!
The dist mounts in a the hole in the intake and another at the bottom of the lifter valley.
The only thing the pump drive touches is the dist gear at the top and the pump shaft itself where the plastic retainer holds it.
Spining in free air otherwise.

Only spend about $7-8 for a Melling hardened shaft w/ steel coupler instead of the plastic POS. Or get the Moroso or ARP versions for under $15.
