This has no side motor mounts and has a place for a oil filter and is a 283 I have pics if needed.

Hemmings Motors News?
That's a '57 block for vette, passenger car or truck and i think first year of the 283". But the only yr without side mounts so should be very collectable to a '57 chevy owner. And i read those older blocks were thick castings so it would make a great spare also for a resto enthusiest.
Yea Hemmings would be a good place but it good take a while to get the right price and the ad fee might hurt profits. But u can place it on the C1-C2 forum parts for sale section for free - and plenty of the resto fanatics there. Also any Chevy Shoebox forum or Chevy Old Truck forum could work.

3731548 could still be desirable for a corvette.
Good catch Doug. Yes, that FC code is not a corvette code. But just a secound thought, once the block is decked that pad would have to be restamped (which is common). So not for the sake of argument here but more for BLOCKMAN's value, that block would still be valueble to any '57 Chevy owner.
