Will tape desensitive Knock sensor?

Will tape desensitive Knock sensor?
Just wondering if I use the white tape on stock 85 Knock sensor if it will help to eliminate false knock. I am running a solid roller that has to be considerably noisier than stock.

yep
check the knock sensor itself for loosness on the plastic nipple. If its loose, replace it. I had mine loose for over a year and with tape minimized the spark counts, but finally when I replace it, it went quiet with teflon tape.

Your intake. I like it! who set that up for you? Who's base is that?
I have been tossing around a caburator intake settup, but didn't want a cowl hood, so I have stuck with the miniram. I see you and Jesse are getting it all under the hood.
Any leads on this, I am interested.

Thanks, I thought so - I freshened the motor so I am replacing it.
Jeb, (jburnet) modified a Super victor JR manafold and manufactured the box. Jesse is running a larger similar style intake ( same setup xcept a Super Victor manafold). Corkvette1 and Ralph are running similar setups. Here is an old post:

At the end of last year I hit my best 60' that I made with the SR 1.51, tuned properly it is bad@ssed.
