Crate Motor - Timing Tab??
I purchased a 385 Fast Burn crate motor and we got it running a few weeks ago. I don't have a timing tab to check the timing. We ball-parked it and I'm ready to do some fine tuning on the timing. The old style timing tab doesn't seem to fit.
Does anyone with a crate motor get a timing tab with their motor? If not, where did you get one?

GM has them for a couple of bucks.
Not sure of your damper size but one of these two should work.
12342000 - 6 3/4 or 7" balancer
12342011 - 8" balancer

I bought a new timing light with the adjustable advance on it so I can set the timing with only the one mark on the cover. A lot of newer cars now only have the one mark so you have to have the adjustable light for them. Might as well buy one.
