Hi

After being told it would take about two weeks by Brodix to get a set of heads and an intake off to me the wait is finally over and they arrived yesterday. However it took 3 months and I ended up having to go to one of their vendors to get them. Had they initially told me that as an individual my order would get bumped by everyone who either had a name or had ordered from them before, I would have considered other options that would have produced faster results. On the other hand the dyno at the shop has been down this whole time but is suppose to be back up this week. I guess all things work out for the best.

Now that all that is passed I am looking forward to finishing up the top end and completing the assembly. BTW two different timing chains from comp cams were tried before getting tossed. The remaining parts to be gotten are "in stock" items and should not (hopefully) be a problem

Doug

That's not right, they should process the orders in the order they received them.

That is the way I always thought it should be. Because I wanted the combustion chamber cc'd option I was forced to deal directly with them. After over two months one of their employees gave the rundown on why my order kept on getting pushed back. Fortunately he also gave out a shop # in Arkansas that worked closely with them and already had a set on their shelf that could be sent back to Brodix for the cc work and to port match one of their intakes to it.

Because I already had headers made for stock exhaust ports I was committed to either Brodix or Edelbrock with advice from others giving the nod to Brodix. Had I not already had the headers I would have jumped ship and switched to Dart.

On the plus side if I ever go back and do business with them again maybe I will get "repeat customer" treatment instead of the run around.
