Default Ouch!!!

I know how people love to rubber neck at an accident and I love looking at pictures of unfortanate engines. Well this is my contribution to all those that love broken engines. Oh well now I get to go bigger!!!!

Nothing out of the ordianry but I had a problem starting and I think some gas got into the oil and caused havoc with the cam becuase part of it is gone now. I have a new engine on the way.

That I just don't understand. Back when I had H-flat cams and a 7200 red line. I managed to do some serious rpm shifting at red line and having tranny failure.

I had valve impacts on nearly every cylinder, mushroomed the keeper area of every valve, some slightly bent Chromemoly pushrods with damaged tips. But the motor actually still ran with valve train noise like it was just way out of adjustment.

That was with Crane High Intensity lifters.

Lifter bodies are tough I thought.

Looks like a good arguement for installing a Moroso or other brand lifter valley screen kit, might help save the bottom end.
