I recently picked up a Bow Tie block that has no provision for the standard mechanical fuel pump. My car is a '63 with the stock FI unit. So standard 7psi range is all I need. Maybe a 2X4 ram quad sometime. So yea, 3/8 fittings are good. My main concern is reliability. I drive the car anywhere and everywhere, so I need something very reliable.
What one would you suggest?
Thanks, Lou
I had the holley blue 110 for many years on my street rod using a regulator and a 1/4 return line with a restrictor in it. You have to restrict the return flow or else you can't get the fuel log to get very much pressure.

You shouldn't need a separate restriction in the return line. That is what the proper regulator is and does when properly located.
Mallory makes good pumps. Just make sure you get the one with the regulator & return as stated above. Remember, the best place for an electric pump is as close to the gas tank as you can get. I used the smaller gas tank vapor line in my '70 as a return. If you need to fab a return line, use only metal.
When you wire it in, install an oil press cutoff for safety. Ford also sells an inertia switch that kills power with a mild impact. When you do find a place to mount it, keep in mind it will be noisy & it will xmit it thru the frame, etc - use rubber isolators.
