LS2 6.0 Liter Question

LS2 6.0 Liter Question
I am currently building a Hot Rod '69 vette and would like to put in a nice LS2 type engine. They all seem to run around 7-8,000 dollars.
I came across a 6.0 liter LS2 that's out of a Silverado 2500 pick-up truck. Can someone explain the difference with the 5.3 to a 6.0 liter LS2 bedides the obvious in displacement...
Also, with a cam change would the 6.0 liter LS2 put out the proper torque curve / HP for a Hot Rod type engine.
