need help on this which disk is recommended if I just change out the clutch disk, and or clutch package if I run the stock flywheel please give me all your opinions all will be appreciated I was leaning towards mcleod on racenet.net for around $400 but wanted to know of clutch disk only as well
I'm assuming this is a 6 spd application. If so, my thoughts are below.
I ran the McLeod with the previous combo. Had problems with slippage in 3rd / 4th under heavy boost, after hard running. McLeod said that they would like me to return it to see what is wrong with it. Prior to that it was a good unit. I think they will wind up replacing it, may wind up putting it in my other car.
With the new combo, I upgraded to the SPEC Stage IV. SWEET!!! No problems to date. Minor chatter. Grips like a pit bull! I am running the aluminum zero balance flywheel. The pressure plate appears to be very close to the old PP from the dual mass.
I am not familiar with just disk upgrades. I am sure they are available, because it seems like all the aftermarket uses the Valeo PP as well.
thanks for the input, ran a kevlar clutch in my mustang few years back and had some chatter as well definitely not for me, will probably lean towards the mcleod clutch setup they sell on racenet.net but have been procrastinatin for too long a time decisions decisions what will I do. :nopity
