This is not your stock 350, note the HO/ZZ4 Aluminum Heads, aluminum water
pump, Edelbrock manifold and Holley Carb, the braided stainless fuel lines, etc. This
engine produces a 10.6 to 1.0 compression ratio and will rev happily to over 6,500
rpms. Note the D shaped exhaust ports. Both the Torker 2 and Performer manifolds
will fit under your Corvette's hood. The internal rotating assembly was balanced to
within less than a single gram and uses TRW's forged flat-top pistons as well as LT-1
style pink rods and LT-4 Valve Springs.

Due to the number of engines used in the Corvette since 1953, we will begin with the
famed Chevy Small Block (SBC) 350 Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) or 5.7 Liter
Engines. The numbers presented here are for information purposes only.

The 350 CID SBC first saw use in the Corvette in 1969 and in one form or another has
continued to this very day as a powerplant for our beloved Corvettes.

Several variants of this engine have been produced for use in the Corvette. The original
1969 350 CID came in two flavors, a base model 300 horsepower unit and the more
potent 350 horsepower version. By early in the 1970 model run Chevrolet had
introduced the famous LT-1 370 HP variant. It was advertised to produce 370
horsepower, unlike the other 350's the original LT-1 sported a radical mechanical cam,
requiring frequent valve lash adjustments.

Torque Specifications:
Here is a start:
Crankshaft Main Bearing Bolts Outer Bolts 70 # Inner Bolts 80 #

Rod Bolts 45 #

Cylinder Head Bolts 60 to 70 #

Flywheel to Crankshaft Bolts 60 #

hummm thx greenvette. I'll use those numbers as they are pretty much the same as the one my friend mechanic gave me. I just don't get your first paragraph...were you talking about your engine?
