Default Freakin' Monster

I've got the original 350 in my '79. I'll be frank, even with some goodies on it, its just not cutting it. Seeing as though winter is rolling around andthe car is going off the road, I figure its a good time to rebuild the engine and give it a real shot in the arm. Assuming I stay w/ the stock block (heads, maybe-but they'd be ported and polished) what compression ratios and camshaft should I use? I'd prefer it to be a really hairy sounding beast that'll really help me to get going real fas(I don't really need the vaccum, I dont have AC, I'm ditching the auto trans...). Any thoughts? :chevy

I ran a Nitrous HP cam for while in 406 because I was planning???? They sound freakining wild and with a little boost or some NOS, the sky is the limit.
