Help me choose the engine, input needed!
OK, I've got some hard numbers to work with for a change.
The engine HAS to be dropped regardless of what I do to install a dry sump system. I'm kinda irked about the price, it means having a barnyard sale of the t1 suspension, basically longblock+ LS6, and a spare 3.42 rear. I'd prefer not to dump them.
I'm looking for 480rwhp. stupid durable, let me re emphasize that, VERY durable and reliable.
Which would you go with? Why?
Option 1)
LS2 402, keyed crank, nice trickflow heads, fully balanced (no adding weight on this thing), 48lb injectors, racetronix, FAST90, head studs, caddy lifters, yatta yatta, installed, labor, tax and all.
Cost: 19.3K
Option 2)
LS1 346, keyed crank, fully balanced, just a stupid hairy 346, fuel upgrades as well, installed etc.
Cost: ????
Option 3)
LS1 383, same as the others, but a hairy 383.
Cost: ????
