Default To block or not to block?

Topic for debate. Whats your opinion on blocking the exaust crossover that runs underneath the intake manifold? Cooler plenum=more power? Hotter plenum=better fuel atomization? Any other pros and cons? I notice that some aftermarket aluminum heads dont even have a crossover. I intend this debate to be whats best for performance. Not really concerned with quick warm up or choke operation.

block the crossover for max HP. denser fuel mixture,outside cold air intake even more power. :chevy

My heads don't have a cross over provision either and I've blocked the EGR as well. In years gone by, I have always blocked the exhaust crossover on engines that had that provision, even in Chicago's super cold winters.

Doing it does cause the engine to take longer to warm up and idle well though.
