Default 427/435 L89 mods?

My father finally handed down his Vette - the one I have been drooling over since I was 3. Odometer shows 41K original miles. When he bought the car he also ordered an L88 cam/intake/and Holley 850 double pumper. Aside from swapping those, everything else is as it came from the factory. I wonder if any mods can squeeze a few more ponies out of this beast. Would a spark amplifier help any (MSD or Jacobs)? Anything else you guys can think of ? It runs 11.90's 1/4 with slicks which is no slacker. Looking for a few less tenths perhaps.
Thanks

A MSD box will help it run and start better.

Is it a #'s matching car? do you have the original parts? restore it, it's worth more that way.

K66 ignition (transistor) was required with the L-89 option. If you still have the orginal L-89 parts (3x2 intake/manifold, AIR pump, etc) you might go look at NADA's website before you go do to much. Last time I looked, book value was $157k. There were only 390 L-89's built in '69. And if all the numbers are correct and you have all the docs

Just my $.02
