I'm posting this here because most of the drag racers have more experience with 15" wheels. I already have a 2 sets of 17" and 1 set of 16" wheels for my 88 C4. I'm wanting to buy some 15" wheels for autocrossing so I can run a particular tire that are real cost efficient,,the size will be 15X12, so what kind of backspacing will clear the front disk brakes? I know 8" will fit the back, but will I have any problems with the front?

Re: Race 15" wheels on a C4??? (autoxer)
I run a 15x10 wheel on my 96 with a 7.5 backspace with a 5/16 spacer. Unless you car is alot different than mine I don't know how you will get an 8" backspace on the car.
As for the tires. Ya, i bought a set off e-bay also and they WERE CRAP on the drag strip. I could never build enough heat to make them stick. You may not go fast enough/soon enough to make them work eather. These are very very hard tires the NASCAR guys use. I Even did HUGE burnouts and I couldn't get them sticky. I hope they take corners better but I doubt it.
