I've just bought a pair of 227 afr race heads, that are 100% cc ported and some shaft monted rockers too. These heads flow like crazy! The heads flow Over 308 and 230
The only problem is that these things will not bolt up to my miniram manifold. The intake ports are to big! Dang I need a smaller cc intake! Or is there a way to make the Miniram intake fit on my car?
If anyone wants to trade (plus some money) there AFR 190-195 cc heads for my heads... let me know!
If all else fails I'll bolt these on my car and use a carborator!
Thanks...
Shane
I had the same problem with my Brodix heads. It cost me $80 to have material welded to the Miniram and then port matched to a Fel-Pro 1207 gasket for the heads.
Thanks for the help. I know know what has to be done!
I'm going to try to find a place localy that does that. If anyone knows of someone around Alisp Il.. Please let me know!!
Fast Time motorworks is up in Morton Grove, but they are the best in the Chicago area. If that's too far, car TRZ Motorsports in Alsip, they can probably help you or at least give you the name of someone who can.
I'd sell them for 1800. This is the fulley compition ported heads and they come with shaft mounted rockers too... They where only used for dyno testing and are like new!
Still want them?
Sorry about chimming in so late on this one. I had my MiniRam welded to fit my 1206 Canfields. The machine shop said it was a pain in the BUTT! I had also had them reshape around the injectors and clean up behind the T/Body while they were at it. Are you trying t get to a 1206 or 1207? It seems to me that things would get really thin going to a 1207.
